Hair loss will affect Asian (hair type - mongaloid) men and women just like other hair types (afroid & caucasoid). The fact that the hair itself in most cases is thicker, considered stronger and will contain a medula (inner core) does not alter factors relating to hair loss in most cases.

In the majority of cases skin disease have no affiliation to skin type hence it may affect anyone of us.

What should one do when suffering from hair loss or a scalp condition?

Most of you will have been to see your GP who will indoubtedly make every effort to assist with the condition. However, most GPs do not specialise in hair loss and scalp conditions. You may have visited your pharmacist aswell. Perhaps tried some of the various hair loss or scalp disease treatments available to purchase over the counter? If you have found that this has not helped then a visit to a trichologist should be next on your list.
