As a qualified Trichologist (The Trichological Society (TTS)) and homeopath (British Institute of Homeopathy (BIH)), I have an indepth knowledge of hair loss and scalp disease as well as effective treatments both allopathically and homeopathically. What is Homeopathy?

Homeopathy is a complementary medicine which is widely used in today's society. As much as a tenth of the worlds population use homeopathy which perhaps gives you some idea of how respected it is. The house of Lords in 2000 (Select Committee on science and technology cited homeopath as one of five group 1 therapies, which has as individual diagnostic approach along with herbal medicine, acupuncture, osteopathy and chiropractics.

Homeopathy is a system of alternative medicine that treats the individual with highly potentised remedies which trigger the body's natural system of healing. The homeopath will take an in depth account of the whole person taking into consideration all aspects of the persons personality as well as their mental & physical state. Taking all these different aspects into account the homeopath will match the most appropriate medicine to the patient. How does homeopathy work?

Homeopathic remedies seek to cause a artificial like symptom in the unhealthy person which in turn cancels out the symptom suffered whilst strengthening the natural immune response. Homeopathy may be used along side allopathic medicines.

In truth, no one can actually fully explain how homeopathy works! theories in quantum physics are moving closer to establishing the full facts however, we know that selected homeopathic remedies act as a catalyst, triggering the body's natural healing processes.
